Newman is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and conferences and is widely respected in the streaming industry for his expertise in webcasting technologies and business models.

Paul Riismandel
Director of Curriculum Support

Northwestern University

Paul Riismandel has been working in online educational media for over 15 years. As Director of Curriculum Support at Northwestern University's School of Communication he specializes in the production and management of online video to support the multitude of institutional needs, including online distance and blended learning, internal training and external communications. He also serves as advisor to student-run radio station WNUR-FM.

Eric Hards
Manager, Enterprise Digital Media

Eric Hards is Lead Multimedia Engineer for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Systems in Orlando, FL. For the past 10 years Eric has been working with multimedia, streaming media, web design, information architecture, usability, and web technologies for Lockheed Martin's Internet and Intranet. He is an award winning designer, considered an industry expert for intranet design and usability and recently awarded the Streaming Media All Stae award for 2009. Eric holds a B.S. degree in design from the University of California at Davis and a Masters degree in Multimedia Technology from San Francisco State. He has taught and lectured for the State University of NY and California State University.

Erica Schroeder
Director, Enterprise Video
Cisco

Erica Schroeder is the Director of Marketing for Cisco Business Video, responsible for global marketing for Cisco's market-leading portfolio of video endpoints, infrastructure and medianet architecture. This includes the Cisco Digital Media System, Cisco TelePresence, Flip Prosumer, Media Transformation and others. Until recently, Ms. Schroeder ran worldwide marketing for Cisco TelePresence and led marketing for the acquisition of Tandberg. Erica has led the global launch of several other emerging video technologies for Cisco, including the Digital Media System.

Previously, Ms. Schroeder ran Cisco's product and technology marketing operations, oversaw strategic communications, and ran public and analyst relations for Cisco's service provider group. Ms. Schroeder draws on years of experience as the West Coast Bureau Chief, and a columnist and editor for PC Week, covering networking, telecommunications, digital media and video, enterprise applications and data center technologies and is a frequent speaker about business video technologies and collaboration. Ms. Schroeder holds a B.A.
from Duke University.

Patty Perkins
Internal Communications Solutions Team Leader
Wells Fargo

Patty Perkins is Wells Fargo’s Internal Communications Solutions Team Leader. She managed the successful enterprise rollout for Wells Fargo On Demand, and is responsible for vendor management and cross-functional team coordination with IT and lines of business to deliver video programs to employees’ desktops. Her high performance team provides IT analysis, development, and support for communication platforms and products used by Wells Fargo Internal Communications. Patty provides strategic consulting in new communication media development for the enterprise.

Patty has 30+ years of broadcast television professional experience as a Writer/Producer/Director and on-camera and voiceover talent. She holds a Master of Science in Distance Education and in 2008 was named a Streaming Media All-Star by Streaming Media Magazine.

Larry Bouthillier
Director of Digital Video Services
Harvard University

Larry Bouthillier is the Director of Digital Video Services at Harvard University, where he guides University initiatives in the development and deployment of innovative video solutions that impact the academic experience. With an extensive background in traditional media production as well as web software development, Larry has many years of experience developing scalable systems to manage the creation and distribution of dynamic, personalized, interactive rich media content. He is a frequent author, teacher and consultant on the effective use and deployment of digital media and the impact of social media on the Web. In 2004, he was named one of the Digital Media 100, the industry's "top leaders, influencers, and innovators" by Digital Media Magazine, and was one of StreamingMedia Magazine’s 2009 Streaming Media All-Stars.

George Levar
Video Service Delivery Lead
Accenture

George Levar is the Video Services Delivery Lead for Accenture. He is responsible for operations and engineering of webcast, Telepresence, and video conference services across Accenture’s global environment. George has led the webcast service since its inception in 1999, and has architected the webcast delivery environment and a global broadcast control capability. His team has delivered over 800 live streaming events in the past year. In 2009 he added responsibility for the global Telepresence and video conference infrastructure.

George has been with Accenture for over 18 years. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering specializing in digital communication system design from the Ohio State University.
